Emmanuel Frimpong

Emmanuel told Arsenal.com in 2009 that he wanted to play for Ghana. But such has been his progress since then, Arsène Wenger has urged England to secure his services for themselves.

The young midfielder could represent either but, in the short-term, he just wants to play for Arsenal after spending the majority of last season on the sidelines.

That dream moved closer to reality with another strong pre-season showing where Emmanuel impressed in Arsenal's engine room. There's no doubt he has the physique to flourish in a defensive midfield role and his passing is solid if not spectacular.

A knee injury meant he was left behind by some of his peers last term but expect him to make up for lost time this season. Emmanuel joined Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season in January 2012.
