Lukasz Fabianski

Lukasz established himself as Arsenal's No 1 goalkeeper last term before an elbow injury ended his season prematurely.

Few stoppers are as proactive as the Pole: he sweeps up behind his back four, kicks well and has proved himself to be an excellent shot stopper. Indeed, his save against Wigan in the Carling Cup in 2008 is rated one of Arsenal's best ever.

Lukasz has pedigree too. He won the Polish League at Legia in 2006, was voted the best keeper in the ‘Ekstraklasa' two years running and has played international football as well.

His critics will point to a few high-profile errors a few seasons ago but Lukasz appears to have the technical ability to forge a top-flight career. And the more chances he gets, the quicker he will improve.
